Program Overview

The University MS-PAS program spans 27 continuous months & requires the completion of 115 credit hours. Students are trained in a state-of-the-art simulation center before transitioning to immersive clinical rotations.

Admissions & Prerequisites

Admission is highly competitive. Apply via CASPA by September 1st.

Academic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited US institution.
  • Minimum Cumulative GPA: 3.2
  • Minimum Prerequisite Science GPA: 3.2
  • GRE is not required.

Experience & Letters

  • Patient Care: Minimum 1,000 hours of direct PCE.
  • Shadowing: Minimum 40 hours of PA shadowing.
  • References: Three letters of recommendation.

  • PAS 501: Clinical Human Anatomy (5 credits)
  • PAS 510: Pathophysiology I & II (6 credits)
  • PAS 520: Clinical Pharmacology (4 credits)

  • Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, General Surgery
  • Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, Women's Health
  • Behavioral Health, Plus one Elective

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, we accept online courses from regionally accredited institutions, provided they include a virtual or at-home laboratory component if a lab is required for that specific prerequisite.

Yes. Anatomy & Physiology courses must have been completed within 7 years of your planned matriculation date. All other science prerequisites must be completed within 10 years.

Due to the rigorous nature of the PA curriculum, we strongly advise against outside employment while enrolled in the program. Students are explicitly prohibited from working for the PA program itself.
